About observations for outpatients

On a desktop, you can record a set of observations for an outpatient. You can view these observations in a table.

You can't do this on a mobile.

About observations for outpatients on a desktop

From  Outpatients > Clinic List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail > Clinical, find Observations.

From  Outpatients > Patient Detail > Clinical > Observations, you can view observations for a patient.

Select this to record an observation.

To see +, you must select an episode of care and an appointment.

This is not in use for outpatients.

Select this to expand the chart across the width of the page.

Select an option to view specific observations, for example, height and weight.

Select All to see all observations.

Select or to navigate backward or forward through submitted observations.

Shows when the observation was recorded.

The background colour depends on when the observation was recorded.

If the observation was recorded:

  • In a previous episode of care, the observation has a grey background

  • In the current episode of care and today, the observation has a yellow background

  • In the current episode of care, but in the past, the observation has a white background

Shows the observations recorded.
